Fiber Optic cables are buried in the same manner as pipelines. This work consists of clearing a right a way through swamp and marsh lands, digging a trench for pipeline to be buried, pulling the line into position and then recovering the lines. Many cabling companies are required to bury their lines for safety purposes.
This video shows a Wilson Bobcat Marsh Buggy repairing a section of damaged pipeline. These capabilities can also be put to work laying phone, cable and communications lines.
